Hare Raama Krishna,
Dear Vinod,
Namaskar,
The difference in analysis comes from the difference in concern and reference. This has to be understood first. Analysing bhava arudhas solely on the basis of patterns and prior to this realisation deprives an astrologer of deeper understanding.
What is this understanding? It is commonly accepted that the moonlight is the reflection of sunlight. Sunlight is usually hot and very bright, while moonlight is cool, very pleasant and its brightness is of different quality. Although we talk of moonlight and sunlight, it is generally viewed as one stream of light coming from the sun and being reflected in the moon. So stream is one, but our perception and thus experience is different. Now, if you know how to count bhava arudhas yourself, you may notice that an arudha (moon) is the reflection of the rasi (sun), which happens via medium of its ruling planet. The difference of analysis comes from this understanding.
Let us clarify further. It is common among astrologers to distinguish between 'satya-bhava' and 'maya-arudha'. So what is this maya and what is this satya? This question has been answered in the first sentence of Guru Ji's reply. What you really are and what is the real nature of different issues relating to you is satya. How you and all those issues are perceived and manifest is maya. Maya, because who you are versus how you perceive yourslef and how you are perceived by people may, and usually differ.
However this 'maya' is very substantial. Just as moonlight is real, although different from its origin - sunlight, similarly bhava arudhas do manifest and play a very important role in the chart. That is why this concept is very important and should be properly understood and used.
I hope that this clarification helped a bit. As far as basic and general rules are concerned, there are some general ones. For example, strong benefics in 1st , 2nd , 4th , 5th , 8th and 10th from AL, and strong malefics in 3rd and 6th from AL are auspicious for material wealth. Any graha in th 7th and 12th from AL tends to cause inauspicious results. As Guru Ji has written, you can also study Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra to deepen your knowledge.
You say that you can analyse 2nd from Lagna for wealth and ask if you should see A2 also. Why proper understanding is so important? Because it can change your perception into a holistic one.
You have also asked for example – take a look at this one.
The native had been born on 24th May 1819. Time of birth was 4:04 am GMT, London. Look carefully at the chart now and study only the 2nd bhava from Lagna. Its lord – Mercury, is in the 12th, isn't it? Is it a daridra yoga or not? It definately is! How would you react if I told you that this is a chart of a very rich person? And what to speak of wealth alone - in fact this is the chart of Queen Victoria of England! How comes a daridra yoga is present here?
If you accept a more holistic view, you will see that her Varnada Lagna is in the 2nd house and changes the daridra yoga into 'the lord of VL in the 11th therefrom' yoga, which is actually a dhana yoga. If you look at AL, second therefrom are Venus and Mercury. Unaspected by malefics. Parashara Muni says that Mercury so placed can make a person as wealthy as a king.
I hope this helps.

Jaya Jagannath!
Lagna shows seat of Satya and Buddhi, whereas Arudhapada shows You from perspective of society & image (Moon is karaka). So 2H from Lagna will show events related to your health and resources, but the 2 and 11 from AL will have more direct bearing on Your finances. A2 is for family. Rest You can read from Brhat Parasara Hora Shastra.

Post subject: Query on Analysis based on Lagna vs Arudha AL
Shri Rafal Ji & Sh. Pablo ji
Hare Rama Krishna
Can you pl. explain the difference in analysis from Lagna vs Arudha
Lagna etc. For e.g If I have to see 2nd house ( wealth , family , speech etc.) I can analyse the 2nd house in Rasi chart , whether Arudha of 2nd also required to be seen.
Can you put some basic rules regard to above & give some example.
Thanks Vinod
