I am into the starting stages of learning astrology. Kindly put to light the important differences between Natural Malefic, Functional Malefic. Natural Benefic and Functional Benefic.

Temporal malefic is very general term used by some traditions of Jyotish. This is based on Lagna, for example Sani is temporal malefic for Leo Lagna (6 and 7 lord). BPHS has whole chapter about good and bad planets for particular Lagna. Fruits from that categorization can be misleading, if we treat this as final as there are other factors to judge which can be more important. Best is to see Yoga instead. Hope You understood my idea.

Dear Rafal,
In what sense the functional malefic or benefic is important?
are they changed in accordance with other factors of the chart?
for example, if Saturn in leo ascendant is in 10th in taurs with a good yoga.
Please show more light to this topic.

Yes, they can change; therefore I stressed the fact about importance of Yoga in a chart. Knowledge about functional malefics for particular Lagna is default base from which You can start analyzing further.

Please clarify the doubt on above.
When a natural benefic say for e.g Jupiter becomes functional malefic
for Taurus or Capricorn ascendant , how to analyse the effects as
natural benefic & functional malefic. . What effects of Jupiter would be as functional malefic & natural benefic?
Whether Jupiter would always give bad effects in its sub & sub-2 periods.

Depends on position and yoga. Jupiter is THE GREATEST BENEFIC and Hari Hara even say that He represents the GOD in chart. So Jupiter must be pretty afflicted to give bad results, but yes it can give. For example in Capricorn Horoscope: if Jupiter is in seventh it can bless with love-marriage and you can travel a lot, it also give Hamsa Mahapurusa Yoga and person is noble and intelligent. For Taurus if Jupiter is in second even in bad avastha can give wealth, or if in fifth it can give occult knowledge. In that way You analyze further. Please start to analyze yogas to have more holistic perspective.
